I highly recommend Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollen to anyone and everyone. I learned something new with every sentence of that book. I could put up about a million quotes from it on here… one day I will. Only, not a million, just a few.

It asks more from you. It’s grueling. It’s everlasting; and after you survive it, you feel a release… your waning hope suddenly explodes, expands.
The cold is shocking, it shakes you alive. It solidifies your cheeks, yet breaks you down, it alters your vision. In summer I blend into the weather, I melt and fade. In winter I dash through the streets, radiating heat, finding refuge in dimly lit coffee shacks that transform into tranquil havens.
But then again, I’m from Boston and live in New York City. Californians and southerners must have a much different take.
